They strike again!
What happens when Mary Berner, Eva Dillion and Elaine Alimonti take over a magazine?
It folds!
Selecciones folded, big shocker. Elaine was in charge of Selecciones for less than a year and she ran it into the ground and then was promoted back to RD.

If you don't know it's out there, it's impossible to buy it. Unfortunately, far too many publishers seem to think that all they have to do is grunt out a magazine and it'll magically find its audience. These days, though, with the decline of indie magazine stands, the incessant contraction of selection at the big chain bookstores, and the living death that is supermarket magazine racks, how are readers supposed to know it's out there?

Someone in the publisher's suite isn't talking to the circulation munchkins. I got a breathless "Don't Wait!" renewal message (en espaƱol, por supesto) plastered onto the June issue--which, I believe, is the last one being published.
